pinstriping question

I need to get the pinstripes re-done on the 'vert, but I'm not sure if I should cut, polish and wax before or after they are re-painted. Note, these are not the normal adhesive e30 pinstripes. They are actually custom painted on, so I'm not sure how to go about it. I'm not sure if it's better to get the paint all nice and clean before the new ones are laid down (painting on top of wax probably not good?) or do it after (cutting on/around fresh painted stripes a problem?)

Are you doing the striping? If not, ask the person who is. They should know.

I would agree, that painting over wax doesn't seem like the best idea. I'm sure a good cut, then stripe would be the way to go, but I'm not really sure.
