If it's a street-driven car, don't sacrifice safety for some POS fiberglass kit.

I had been in contact with Abraham and he said they're direct replacements, and that, say, the lower lip portion can be purchased seperately and will fit with the stock 89-91 bumper, essentially providing the same protection as stock but with the fiberglass lower lip.

I'm going to be purchasing one soon, so I'll post pics once I do.

i thought this is an item for the plastic bumper cars only, in that, you keep the plastic bumper core and 'mount' the fiberglass cover to that, much in the same way you would a real mtechII bumper cover.

mounting this cover in any other way w/o the plastic bumper's core is either ghetto or a LOT of work. (also pay attention to the fact that the rear fender line is different on early cars)

DO NOT assume it is that easy to attatch this skin to your early model bumperd car.

    That's true.
These fiberglass covers are meant to replace the existing bumpers. So, you will no longer have the safety of having a real bumper in case of an accident.

Although I have no first hand experience with the Abrahams pieces it still seems like they are meant to mount on top of the late model rebar and thats why they say they are meant for late models only .

You could thrash all of you early bumper surrounds and bumpers and then drill the shocks so they are short enough and then custom mount the FG pieces to them .

their website says their mtech 2 bumper & fender(lower valence) r made of fibreglass. I got a reply where they claimed there has been no complaint of paint cracking/flaking etc during the last 5 years they have been selling this item...

Can anyone who had installed theirs provide feedback?

I have heard other owners (in SE Asia) who claimed fibreglass ones sucks as it gives a wavy surface and paint cracks over time....

    thks

    abrahams motorsport mtechII bumper

i was just wondering if anyone has bought there bumpers and if so hows the fitment and material like?.. basicly overall review of the product.. feedback would be much appreciated.

and it says its only for plastic bumpers?!... what exactly does that mean... yes i know what plastic bumpers are ... but is it the hardware that the plastic bumpers have that a diving board bumper doesn't have make a difference in the installation...?!

    thanks in advance
