    M-Tech I bumper questions

I saw a picture of an early e30 with what I think is an m-tech I rear bumper/valance and don't know where I've been.... if there is one thing I don't like about my car it's the lack of the rear lower valance and obviously it's a lot of work to get a metal valance from another e30 welded onto my car...

Am I correct to think that an m-tech I rear bumper / valance would fit w/o any modifications on my 84 ? How exactly does it mount to the body for the car, does it use plastic bumper shocks or will I need to put diving board bumper shocks back on the car ? I know it's a 300-400 part, but that's still cheaper and hopefully easier to do than cut a valance from another car etc...

Basically I don't want to run euro bumpers, so is M-Tech I or II a way to go ?

Am I going in the wrong direction, or is this an option ?

You need to install the Mtech I with the Euro bumpers.

Sounds like you are out of luck. The Mtech I is used on early cars with Euro bumpers and the Mtech II is used on late model e30s.
Since you have an early car and don't want Euro bumpers, that rules out both Mtech kits for you without some extensive modifications.

Damn it. And of course M-Tech II doesn't exist for pre 88s ?

        That is correct.

Anything is possible though. It just depends how much work you want to put in to it. Jason (C3 Motorsport) is running Mtech II on his early model widebody.
