    Fenders got rolled, paint got cracked.

    So i had my rear fenders rolled and the fuckers cracked my paint..

    its not visible.. can i tape off the visible side of my fenders and just spray some clear coat down there do the chipping doesnt spread?

    well, now that your paint is bad, why don't you sawzall the qtr panel and put big flares on! :)

      unless you sand back the chipped paint then clear over that it will show up again.

        I have yet to see an e30 without cracked paint after rolling. Even with the heat gun it sounds pretty inevitable. Will be done *prior* to my respray.

            Pretty hard not to crack the paint on the inside lip
            itself esp on an old e30.

            If it's not visible who cares? Just use some POR-15 top coat
            to reduce spreading and also to prevent rust.

              Yea, I heated the shit out of mine, and it cracked all over the country side.

              My roof is balding, so I said fuck my paint a long time ago.

              Yet, I'm going to compete in the concours at Ofest. Ah...isn't that funny? :D

                did yers crack also? i need to roll my fenders pretty bad, how did u roll yours? roll the insider lip inwards flat, then push out the flat lip and fender a lil bit?
