Mystery Side Skirt, any ideas? (jpeg warning)

I'm pretty new here, having just registered but I've been shamelessly using every article and tid bit you guys have to offer and I've got to say, it's been invaluable. Thanks a ton for everything you guys bring up and discuss. It's helped me out personally on many occasions and taught me quite a bit.

Now onto the pretense; I purchased a '88 325iS about six months ago and I have yet to identify them successfully. It's stumped the local Puget Sound BMWCCA Chapter forums and the bmwe30.net boys. Anyone here have any ideas as to what the origination of them is? (Note: These pictures are from about a week after I bought Her and since she's still been undergoing many DIY projects concerning the shite paint) Here's a few pictures:

See if you guys can figure it out. And again keep in mind She's a low budget driving project and has another 6 months of work done on Her since these where snapped. Not to mention She came pretty much stock all around. Enjoy and again, thanks for the great enthusiasm for these amazing Machines.

    Chris.

I haven't been on eBay in ages. My attempt at figuring out what they where consisted mostly of Google Image searches trying to find something close. The Reiger side skirts are close, but much too big. Surprisingly the PO couldn't conclusively tell me what they where nor even remember enough to point me in the right direction. I'm getting the distinct impression you're not thrilled with the look of 'em? Not your fancy? I can't say I'm completely ecstatic about them but I haven't seen 'em on another e30 yet, so that's got to count for something...

Racing Dynamics? I haven't heard of them. Does "Racing Dynamics" have a website, because I would really like to know for sure what they are. Someone around the Puget Sound area gave me an E-mail and claimed they could perhaps be some rare M-Technic type of side skirt. I don't buy it, but it would be nifty in the off chance ;)

        Any other guesses?

Not my fancy? No, I don't like stepside e30's.

After doing my homework I can tell you they are Racing Dynamics. Genuine or not is a question worth asking, but it ultimately doesn't matter as they have no resale either way.

They are meant to have side panels that clad the sides of the car up to the door moulding on them as well, which your car is lacking.

Yeah, I figured it was bungered when I looked up "Racing Dynamics" and saw that they look damn near the same but the two upright "tabs" if you will are not present anymore if ever at all.

Thanks for the pin point. They do look like step sides, don't they? I'll have to find myself some actual iS skirts now. On the bright side I do have the whole rear M-Tech apron. Needs a tad bit of work but it's a start.

            Again, many thanks.

I had those on my "e". I didn't really dig them, but in black it was blended. They are Racing Dynamics, the rear looks like Kami (sp). Looks like they spend time at BAV Auto....
