    Question about bumper cover painting...

What would you guys suggest for the plastic bumper covers for paint?

I have an 87 E30 with the HUGE diving boards and I just compressed the bumper shocks and before re-installation of the bumper am thinking of painting the plastic on the outside of the bumper black again, since it is SO faded and uneven and ugly.

What works really well that doesn't require a lot of time/money/work.

    Thanks,

    -J

I sanded a bit then used sem trim black, so far so good, aside from the instant water spots whenever it gets wet.

I use DupliColor "Bumper Coating" and their "Adhesion Promoter" to varied sucess. I scuffed with 600 grit then scotch brite green pads, then wiped down with Wax and Grease remover, then sprayed the adhesion promoter (basically clear primer) then the final coats of bumper coating.

Results are varied because I have to touch up the paint about once a month if I care to keep it perfect (which I don't).
