Mtech II splitter?

Hey guys, Ive been a long time lurker of the forums and finally joined today. I have a 318i with mtech II, the front bumper has a crack so it will need a plastic weld and to be repainted. In order to protect the new paint I am looking for a splitter? does anyone know where I could find one? I can only find them for the IS lip.

im not exacly sure but the one for the pre-facelift IS cars might fit that. someone had a group buy for one of those a while ago, look it up

Ok well I found the group buy, he said that they wouldnt fit an Mtech II. Plsu their all sold...so still looking

well you could also make one yourself. maby go to home depot or something and get a sheet of plastic

Yeah Ive thought about it, but I dont really have the cutting tools, what you recomend to get a even and smooth cut?

When i made the splitter for my zender front spoiler, i used a cutting wheel on a die-grinder to cut it to the shape i needed. Then i sanded the edge that i cut with some sand paper.

ive never worked with plastic before so i really dont know. i would imagine you could try a table saw or something like that but you say you dont have any cutting tools so you might be stuck in a rut. anyone else have any ideas? im a little curious about this too

ok thanks my mates are bound to have one, will check it out. Just worried about getting an even curve.

I used to have one of few made by Ryan Gangemi



It ripped off shortly after when I was going 150mph (it was only held on by 9 wood screws)

he doesn't make it anymore because of its poor attachment capability

nah just kidding, my whole valence came off and it disappeared on me, he did stop making it though

Haha what did you hit? a cat eye? ok well I sent him a PM anyway. BTW your cabrio is the meanest ive seen, what suspension set up are you running? any more pics? Borbet type A's?

I used self tapping bolts to hold mine on, or you could drill holes and bolt it on (i don't know how big of lip there is to attach to on the m-tech2). And to get the straight edge and round corners i used a sander for that (i did that after i put it on the spoiler)
