    bumper removal help!

I am trying to remove my DBs and put in plastics, but I can't get the front bumper detached. As you can see, it's been 'tucked' the the PO:

The only problem is, I can't get the bolts out because they hit the valance:

I have tried to tug on the bumper and pull it back out, but it won't budge. What can I do? has anyone run in to this before and maybe has some good advice?

Also, the rear bumper doesn't fit right:

I have tried re-positioning the mounting brackets on the side, but it hasn't helped. It seems to be sticking too far out on the sides and on the back. I have never dealt with bodywork before so I'm looking for ideas, I an kind of flying blind here. I could use some help please!

maby if you remove the front bumper surrounds you could get to the shocks benith them. i think the bolts are coverd by the bumper though so i dont really know you could do there. i had the same sort of problem when i was putting on my bumpers after tucking them
Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

Hook something onto the bumper, wrap it around a pole, and drive backwards until it pulls it out.

As for your rear bumper... you need the plastic bumper shocks.

Just talked him through it on the phone. Thanks for the bumper pulling from the pole idea. Already in motion though.

Second option is just to drill a couple holes in the bumper big enough for a socket where the bumper shock bolts are.

And he does have plastic bumper shocks on the rear.

if the bumper still will not move try to see if there are screws in the shocks. sometime people drill srews into the shocks to stop them from uncompressing. if that is te case you would want to take them out first or you will damage you car trying to pull the bumper out. hope this helped

ive been there. i put a newer front valance on my DB 88 cab, with the same front bumper set up you have (bolt position etc). what i had to do was take off the front lisc plate, screw the tow hook in the bumper, hook up a tow strap, and tug slightly with another car until the bumpers are pulled out enough that you can get the bolts. it shouldnt take much but make sure you have enough clearance for the socket so you dont scratch the valance.
