SEM Chip Guard is THE thing to use for this! no primer, nothing else

SEM TRIM PAINT is the OE paint specified for refinishing the areas... Chip guard is a textured coating that is supposed to go UNDER paint. The texture already on the car is not the black paint, but a coating under the body colored paint UNDER the black trim paint.

Again. SEM Original Black Trim Paint ITEM #39143 is what you want.
