Question Regarding Early Model Valence Mounting Point

Just noticed that I have a slight situation with the mounting point on the passenger side for the front valence on an '87 Eta that I just picked up for a daily driver. I'm wondering if this will give me problems later when I mount up another valence. Apparently the previous owner ripped off the last valence at speed. Issue in question:

This is on the passenger side.

If this is a problem, what can be done to remedy this? Will I have to have some welding done for such a small area of metal? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Best bet would be to weld it back in. Should be much more then just two tack welds and a little paint. Go by a welding shop with a 6 pack and get someone to do it for you.

Yep, two quick spot welds would fix that. That's worth a beer, not a whole six pack. ;)

why the shit would you ever expect them to do it for free? Its their profession, they make money doing it, if you bring them work, they will charge for it, at least a 6 pack. the only reason there should be a slight chance of you expecting them to do it for free is if you've had work done by them before, or you know them already.
