    is this paint salvagable?

im still needing a second car since my other e28 got hit, this one runs drives, doesnt need much, the paint on the whole car is good enough that itll buff right now, but the hood is what im concerned about. the paints still smooth but extremely cloudy. i was thinking, medium or light rubbing compound, polish, and wax. i dont really want to wet sand but i know its a possibility. what do yall think i would need to do if the hood paint can even come back to life?

Two quarts of Rustoleum, a roller, and a week of evenings can have that looking like new. :)

haha ive been seriously considering roller painting the next pos daily i get. but everytime i buy a pos i fix it up and sell. i dont want black body, and gray door jams etc. can they mix up rustoleum without the metallic flakes to the bmw paint color? (for example.. delphin gray metallic, with out metallic flakes, making it just delphin gray)?

Short answer, no. Rustoleum isn't that color specific. It's pretty much an all-or-nothing paint job.

i realize buying a can of rusto isnt gonna have a bmw color, except black lol, but i read somewhere that home depot or somethin can mix up the paint with a chip of the old paint to scan in??? eh either way... ive done my studying on roller painting. just havent bought the paint.
