    Anyone had rust under bodykits?

Ok, i bought this car a number of months back and it seems to have a reasonably rust free body, there was a little above the the brake light and a bit under the right side door which i have fixed. I thought I would take the pfeba sideskirts off today to check if there was any rust under it because I had a feeling it could hold water. So i did, and i found a bit of rust. Has anyone else experienced this with bodykits on e30's? The front right panel had a little hole in it which i repaired, and so did the right rear wheel arch ( refer to pics. ) I sanded it back, mixed up some of that Metal Fix stuff, filled in the holes, sanded it down, and put some black paint over it to seal it so i think that will be all good for now. It's kinda annoying that there was rust there ( most of it surface rust ) because the rest of the car seems really straight, under the boot and everything its just like new. Anyone experienced the same problems with bodykits?

It seems like most of the rust under the front of the bodykit is from where some F***ing muppet of a previous owner or workshop tried to jack the car up at the wrong place, bending the panel a tad, cracking a paint, and wallla , rust. But on the back, it just seemed like it had held some water and slowly rusted away.

Sorry pics are so small, i used some redneck image hosting iv never used before. argh. you get the idea tho lol
