How to take off diving board bumper.

    Hello everyone,

I went to a junkyard today and found a red e30 with the front valence that has the fog lights in them with the air duct nest to them. I took almost everything off but gave up when it came to taking off the diving board bumper. It was a 1988 325. Does anyone know how to take off the diving board bumper?

Front bumper is like that but with the air ducts instead of the towing shit.

The front bumper looked anything but that, probably. Those bumpers are the european bumpers, which are for early cars.

The car your looking at is a mix between the early models and newer models. It had the late taillights, low arches, late valance.. but early style bumpers.

To take off the bumpers you eaither have to remove the bolts on the inside of the bumper from the bumper shocks OR remove the bolts where the bumper shocks are connected to the car. you might want to use lots of PB and a tourch if they wont budge.

      Ahh, okay.

But I knew I needed to remove those bolts, my question is how? Those little s**ts are in the most annoying spot ever. :hitler:

Should just be four 13mm bolts holding the bumper shocks on the car. Undo those, the turn signal connectors, and pull.

Right I know which size, the thing is that it is a tight fit to get into there. Do I go in from the engine bay or front the outside.

you need to take off the black plastic part on the top of the bumper...so you are working from the out side....once you get that off you are working from the top of the bumper
