How to remove the front bumper trim.

I'm in the process of refinishing all of my exterior trim (b-pillars,shadowline,ect)

So far I have most of it sanded and prep'd for paint.

I'm having trouble removing the clip-nuts that retain the middle of the front trim. I don't want to break them, but it's feasible option. Can I just replace the clip-nuts with a regular screw-nuts? Any pointers will be welcome!

okay, so I decided to go now holds bare on removing the trim.

I just used a socket driver, and slightly lifted the trim(with a flathead) to gain access to the screws retaining them. There were 3 screws that needed to be removed for each section of trim. It also made it a little easier by removing the kidney & grill to have more workspace and visibility.

I just now got done sanding all the parts(trim, grill, kidney) down with 220grit. I'm debating on where or not to give the grills a outline of red around the edge of the entire grill. I seen a thread of people thinking if they should go with that concept. I'm not entirely too sure I want it though. All in all, these will get a nice coat of SEM trimblack.

I will post pichas of them painted
