    drivers side door hangs low

the drivers side door on my 88 sedan is loose around the hinges, it sags down and rubs against the rocker panel. (its worn away the paint in a small area along the rocker) not really sure how to fix it though, anyone ever dealt with this before? new hinges? easy fix? thanks!

see the small white area? thats where it hits:

I had the same problem; I had to pull the door up by the handle when I opened it. It turned out that the threaded bolt in the bottom hinge was sheared in two, so I just took a whole hinge off of a car at the junkyard and swapped it out; no problems after that.

Do your doors hang low, do they wobble to and fro, can you tie them in a knot, can you tie them in a bow. Sorry, I am of no help

4 bolts hold the position of the door.

I actually dont think that is from your door.... Looks like it from your leg/shoe rubbing the rocker every time you get out of your car. Happends alot of big trucks. Check the way you get out of your car some time and see if you hit the panel with your leg

Erik J - you may be right about the spot, but the door is definately hanging low, because when i open the door i have to lift it up a little bit to shut it tight. thanks for the replies everyone
