    To fix..or not to fix..

    So,
I've had my e30 for a bit just haven't really done much. Problem is the bodywork. I have a bit of a problem area on the drivers side. Opinions on where I can get just the dent fixed, or whether I should are welcome. Fire away.

Thats some pretty major work to fix. You are either going to have a lot of pulling and straightening with the use of some body filler. Or cut the quarter panel skin off and reweld a new one in its place.

No need for a new panel.
That's about 7-10 hours of repair work (hard to tell from photos). Not a part of the car I recommend you try yourself as it's tough to get those contours correct. Plus there's another hr or two on the door. Multiply that by the body shop labor rate in your area ($44 or so around here). That gets it straight and in primer. Painting would be another 6-8 hrs plus the paint. Looks like your clear is pretty much shot already, so I'd Maaco the entire thing or roller paint it yourself. Regardless, the body repair I'd have done by a pro.
