pinstripe adhesive removal question

ive been using goo gone and it got it all off on the passenger side but they must have used some newer pinstripe on the drivers. the adhesive is a lot thicker and way harder to remove. i let the googone soak for awhile and it doesnt do much. so i soaked it again but used my finger nail and that semi-worked. took forever though.

ive used rubbing alcohol on tough adhesive before and it took it off fine, but will the alcohol affect the clear coat or paint?

any other good ideas? i just found my plastic razor, i may just try that with goo gone cuz i think the alcohol would fuck up the paint...

I had to use lacquer thinner to remove the pin stripe adhesive from mine.

Try WD-40.

3M Stripe off wheel or any of the "eraser wheel" knockoffs. Avaliable at most auto parts or auto paint places. Chuck them up in your cordless drill and go to town. Its a rubber disc that rubs the stripe and adhesive off the paint without damaging it.

cheap and easy, use a heat gun water soap and a normal eraser.

goof off with a rag and just keep using the clean part of the rag
