Vert: Early 3rd brake light to late style.

I went to the junk yard today and there was a trashed Cirrusblau (SP) convertible there. Most of anything good was gone really. I did get the 3rd brake light and cluster. The car is an 89 and mine is an 88 so it has the fat ugly one on the trunk.
Is this just a bolt on swap or do I need to drill the trunk for the mounting holes? What should I use to seal the plastic on the trunk?

on my 89 ic, i just have the brake light gasket.

i don't know how yours is (besides thicker) but if you need a photo, just pm me, and i can take a few tomarrow

im almost positive its just a straight swap. use the factory gasket to seal it up. can you not compare the mounting points on your old one compared to new?
