    Painting Aluminum bumpers?

Has anyone painted their aluminum bumpers?

I want to know if it'd look stupid or cool.

Yeah, I've seen a few people on here that have done it. It does look pretty good. Were you thinking of painting them body color or going with black?

I'll post some pictures in a few weeks when I tuck + paint mine. :)

^If you've got pictures of other people's cars, can you post those too so i can see em before you do yours?

My car's black, so the bumper will be painted gloss black i guess. It's probably better that I have a black car, huh? heh.

hm, so it seems like most people paint the plastic thing around the bumper glossy to match the car while leaving the bumper itself and the rubber trim SEM?

how do you guys think painting everything glossy would look? or maybe leaving just the rubber strip SEM?

With db's, a good motto is tuck n' paint. It willlook 10 times better than stock. That's the first thing I would do if I got an early model E30.

Put your time and money into your suspenion. No one will give a shit about your doctored bumpers if you're slammed to the ground.

Thanks, but I have very few pics in general.

It looks best in that shot.

Soon to have a rear valence and some minor body mods.

or if you like the "chrome" look of dbs but dislike the black surrounds you can always tuck em, and paint the surrounds like i did to my old red car
