Are all e30 body panels interchangealbe?

Hi there guys, I introduce myself over in the general talk and was asking about the body panels on our cars. Some recommended me to post over here for direct answer. I just picked up a 90' vert. and has small front end damage and I will be replacing some of the body panels. I'm not sure if all parts are the same, so I was wondering if a 85-87 325i or is fender, hood, front bumper, valence, radiator and radiator support, and headlight/grill will swap over to my vert. Reason why I limit from 85-87, because there some people in my area who are parting out their cars. Unfortunately there not vert, so I want to make sure before I drop the cash on them. Please educate me, thanks!

everything you mention other than the fenders should work. the radiators did change after 87 so that wont work but they are not convertible specific

Great thanks! So for fenders, will 88-up 325 i or is fit? Or will I need to find a vert fender? And for the radiator and support only vert application? TIA!

Also wanted to add, I have the db for front and rear, will the 88-up plastic bumper swap over?

The fenders for a convertible are not the same as the ones on a coupe so you will have to find 'vert specific front fenders.

Hoods, bumpers, deck lid are all interchangeable.

Plastic bumpers swap on to convertibles with much less custom work compared to an early model coupe. You just need to do a few modifications to get the rear bumper mounted. You will want a rear apron of some sort to complete the look though.

Great thanks for clearing that up man! I'll pick up those parts over the weekend, guess will be looking for a vert fender. Any ideas on the radiator and rad. support? Also for the front plastic bumper, should I get the valence too from a i or is?

Radiator supports are different,

the front valence should be the same if they are both diving board cars

Only cabrios and M3s have specific fenders, all others are the same AFAIK.
