    Glass Sunroof!!!

So I went to the junkyard a couple days ago, probably like 5, and saw an 88 325. Wishno87 was with me and as we approached the car I noticed the inside was unmolested but fairly moldy and rotted/torn. I was planning on grabbing a set of tweeter delete plates and as i opened the car and sat down, wishno87 (Josh) says to me MATT! LOOK UP, WHAT IS THAT. I nearly shit a brick because there was a glass sunroof there. I started to remove it and the guy in the uard said no parting it out because it was "intransit":( So I have been there checking on it for the last 4 days everymorning. Today I talked with Rodrigo the manager of the yard, I started talking to him and had lunch with him at those "Taco Trucks" and i convinced him to sell it to me!

All I can say is this is the best money I have ever spent. I plan on selling it maybe towards winter time but maybe sooner just not sure yet.

Enjoy these 2 pics I snapped installed on my car!:D

I was going to go back to the vancouver yard and see if the sunsahde and plastic runners are there, hopefully i can get them

They only charge a set sum for sunroof/glass roof/t-top etc.

They guy at the counter was like probably worth 50 or so if you resell it :)

LOL, you should see how much the new euro bumper trim is going to cost me though (more than I paid for the bumpers + valance)..this is before I purchase new euro fogs, and don't get me started on the price of rear valance

Nice! Some paint, and a seal, and it will be like new.

just took one from u-pull/ $19.95 (bring on the hate)

were you able to install the sun shade also?
the shade was pretty trashed and jammed back and therefore was i unable to see how it all originally fit in. i think there are some springs involved in the mechanism- any thoughts?

also, read on another post about the gasket- is the one-piece an update? universal on both glass and metal roofs? get it through blunt?

I think it might be 2 pieces, the shade was moldy and way back in and was also unable to get it. I think there are special runners needed as well
