Is there any easy way to color match or am i pretty much stuck to paying an insane amount and letting a shop do it?

If you are expecting an out-of-the-can color match (particularly with a color like the blue in your sig) you are truly dreaming.
While a spectrum analyzer at your local paint supplier can get you darn close, it is never a guarantee. Any paint that old is going to be faded to some degree and must be compensated for.
It truly is best left to a pro if a good result is your main goal.sigpic -

bmw does have touch up paint. Maybe a couple of cans for the spoilerComment

That is a little high priced. That means they must of quoted you about 5 hours labor + materials.
If you were near me I would do it for $150sigpicComment
