Now with the wing, and the under lid panel, I have a pretty heavy trunk lid. Anyway to keep it from slamming other than lowering it by hand really slow?!

I moved the spring on both sides to the back tab. It helped a ton - but it is probably not quite enough. I will get a new rod at some point. For now - it is good.'89 "is" = M technic II build mode.
