    sanding clear coat

Hi I just repainted my front valence and am looking for any tips on sanding the clear coat after I lay it. How much time should I allow befor I acutally sand it down? would 2000 be the best bet or a rubbing compound? any other tips would be great.. oh the is also a spray can clear BASF AM100 to be exact.

    Thanks

For wet sanding clear coat, I generally start with 1500, then go to 2000.

I have no experience with the "near professional" spray can clear, I have always shot it with a gun, and way too thickly, so I can do a shitty job wet sanding and polishing and still have it look nice.
