    Applying decals to my hood

I am applying a decal to my hood. How should I prep the paint? Will glass cleaner do a good job of removing wax?

Use some spirit solvent to clean and prep. You could use prep clean too. Glass cleaner wont do too much for it. Alcohol does a good job as well, but spirit is the best. Just dont rub vigorously.

Where would I get spirit solvent? Would it be a product that would only be at a paint supply house?

Yeah, youd have to get it at automotive shop. Autozone and places like that might sell it. Im not 100% sure on that.

Wax the hell out of your hood first so when you change your mind, it will look OK under it.

I work a Cusotmcar shop and we just use rubbing alcohol, then spray windex, and while the windex is still wet put the sticker on top and get it how you like it then Squeegee out the windex and it will stick perfectly, we use it on vinyl all the time
