Outside Bottom part of door bends in? near hinge..

Hey guys

I just wanted to know if this is particular to my car because of some past bodywork, or if others are like this too?

On the outside of the front doors.. on the bottom, where the door meets the front quarter panel... the doors kind of bend inwards...

seems like it is to make room for the doors to actually swing open, but i'm not sure..

looking at photos of other people's cars, i dont notice it..

any insight anyone?

I did neglect to mention that I have the mtech 2 kit.. it's a cabrio..

Ahh, so yeah, I have the door cards..

Is it that the door cards angle off at the corners?

Anyone?
