    M Tech conversion?

I want to swap my 'diving boards' for something sleeker & more euro. The plastic bumpers seem like a perfect choice. I love the look of the M Tech II kits, but the OEM stuff seems really expensive.

Is there a cheaper alternative? I've searched, but I've found so many threads I'm a little confused.

Should I do plastic bumpers first & then go aftermarket M Tech parts? Thanks for helping out a newb.

Aftermarket techII parts are a crapshoot at best. RaceonUSA makes some, but they require a fair bit of bodywork and creativity to get looking right. I think Eurostop makes some too (and they're on this forum) but I've never liked the look of their repro parts.

In all seriousness, do maintenance before fuh raze body kits. However, plastic bumpers aren't too hard to get and swap, and should be considerably cheaper than a full M-techII kit.

Thanks guys, that's what I was thinking after trolling the boards even more. I'm new to the e30 scene & still getting my feet wet with regards to the car & it's style.

That being said, what / where is the best place to get plastic bumpers F & R? Classifieds? After-market? People parting their car?

Parting is one of your best bets. You can also get lucky at a junkyard. Post a thread in the wanted section of this forum, too.

What year is your car? If it's an 88, you won't have to modify the rear bumper, but if it isn't, then you will.

He's got an early vert. Late model bumpers are a direct swap to it both front and rear, as far as I'm aware.
