need advice on repairing corner panel

Thanks to the ice storm we got last night a tree fell on the pass side rear corner and crunched in the panel, scratched the paint down to the sheet metal. How do you guys suggest I repair it, buy the panel from another E30 and paint if necessary? or hammer the shit out of it then bondo+paint? I'll get a pic of the damage up later.

Call the insurance company first, then take it to a reputable shop.

Seriously.

It is just too much for a beginner unless you have someone to hold your hand.

Need photo to determine if replace is warranted. Replacing that panel will probably total the car; it's a very expensive job to do.
