    bumper tuck help

im sure this has been asked before, but i searched and couldnt find anything, so here goes...

im going to tuck the bumpers on my 86 325e, do i need new plastic molding pieces, or can i use the original ones? Also, does anyone know where i can find a license plate delete strip for my bumper?

You do not need new plastic strips (as long as yours aren't fucked up).

You will have a small gap at the ends of the DB, big gap if you tuck it too much.

    Have you seen Stereoinstaller1's 87 325iS?

Lukes car pulls off DBs so well.

I have tucked my front and back bumpers and got no gap. However I watched for gapping and stopped as soon as it started. May have to get new bumper shocks, drill them and watch for gapping this time around.

No need for new shocks, they will just slide in and out, if you want them to remain in one position you can just pop a small self tapping screw in the hole you drilled to compress them in the first place.

i have just tucked my bumpers on my 1984 e30 and all the bolts were rusted and or striped so i had to rip the plastic covers off lol.it took forever to drill the hole i think maily cuz my buddys drill bits were kinda warn already and drilling into a 25 yr old bumper shock was not helping.but yeah i have to get new trimming.i was wondering if you had already tucked your bumpers and how it went?

bmp used to have license plate deletes. the gaps normal just dont stare at it and it wont bother you. but then again i tucked with the least amount of gap ive seen and ive watched people tuck their bumpers for 5 years now.
