    Powder Coating Machine/gun

Im looking at picking up a powder coating machine/gun to do the parts for my motor.
I was just wondering if anyone had any type of experience with this setup.

If anyone has any experience with it please post up some photos of your work.
    Thanks

Several of my 2002 buddies have them. Good results. You need to pick up a used/spare oven - don't use the one in your kitchen. It'll smell!

yeah I know what to do, Im not new to powder coating. I actually ran a powder coating system for over a year. I was just trying to see who used that gun and liked the results.
I actually found a web site by eastwood and there is a lot of great info on there.
Im going to order one in a week or so.

i use the hypersmooth from columbia coatings, as well as their colors.

there's pics of the gun, and the powders on their site.

                          edit: hyperSMOOTH not "hyperquiet"

i have the hotcoat gun, which is worked great for me. Unfortunately i have nothing to compare it to, however i could see some areas that need improvement.

if i had to do it over again, i'd get the system from caswell.

problems i have with the eastwood system is i don't think it has enough power to do multiple layers with ease. its possible, but not friendly. I've also had some issues with tight corners - but i'm not sure if its the guns fault or just the nature of powder coating.

only nice thing is eastwood is like 10 minutes from my house - so i have easy access to powders, etc.

i've done a number of bikes - this one was clear over glass beaded metal

                              and lots of car stuff

nice thing is that we have a walk in oven at work - thats a e30 rear subframe in there
