why does my hood have wiring?

so im about to take off my hood and i noticed that other than the anticipated washer fluid hose, there is some wiring that goes into my hood.

the engine end of the wiring isnt connected and it just loops into itself. on the hood side, it snakes up to the nozles. i see some wires and connectors under the hood fire barrier.

any guesses as to what this is?

yes that was my guess, but did e30's come with this? and then why is not connected to anything?

how are they activated? button in the dash? so what i have just wiring and no heaters?

oh and can you tell me where they are supposed to connect to, cuz right now the wire plug connects to nothing.

standard for all canadian late model E30s. Your mirrors are suppose to be always warm too.

Yep. Heated washers. Mine has them too.

just found out the connection is daisy-chained with the washer pump, if anyone cares.

I have a set of heated nozzles not installed. I was wondering if anybody knows where they get their power feed from. Would like to use them some day..
