White Car, Gold Engine Bay ?????

    I have a 1989 325i white, paint looks original,

but Engine bay is gold and color code on strut tower calls for bronzitbeige-metallic 139/1,

I starting to think the car was painted white, but I can't find any overspray or anything that show it was painted,

    any help would be appreciated,

Your bronzit car was painted white. Case closed. You could run the vin.

Theres a guy on bf.c who will run the VIN for you. Look in the E30 section, it's usually on the first or second page.

Definitely repainted. No need to run the vin.

if you really want to know if it got repainted you can also check places like behind the door cards/panels. unless the really went all out and repainted everything you should still have original colors behind stuff like that.
