I went satin black with is a very low gloss i highly recomend over the usual flat black and my car is profesionally done. Its a wrx too not a e30 -
I did the roller paint job.
Turned out at about the quality of a maaco job. Cost: $110 maybe?
But, took FOREVER. I sanded so much that week, I couldn't have jerked off if i wanted to.
I would've much rather paid 500 for a maaco job.Leave a comment:

LOL ok,I understand the beers rule, but I need more info on the others! :mrgreen:Do it with a roller. Use thinned out paint. Use lots of masking tape.
Try searching hot rod sites or rat rod sites or maybe thesamba.com or the like for a tutorial and exactly which paint to use.
I say go for it, it;ll look good if you do a good job. And post pics before and after.
So,nobody thinks I could do it by myself?
I m no richer than the average E30 owner, but i like to work on my car! :p

Step
1. Go to local auto parts store.
2. Buy cheap ass spray paint.
3. Drink 3 beers.
4. Take spray paint to car without masking anything off.
5. You now have a nice parts car!
