    Stripping Chrome from Wheels

I'm looking at a set of Borbet Type Cs with peeling chrome finish. I've heard you can get chrome shops do strip it, but for how much? And could I do it myself?

They are very cheap and I would just be spraying them with some duplicor so it doesn't have to be perfect. What are my options?

    IIRC..

Seems they plate everything in nickel before the chrome process is done, so you might have to have a place to strip them for you so that you can get a good surface for paint to adhere too...

Get them powder coated. Most PC places can strip any and all chrome of before PC them. The place here only charges $40 a wheel, any color or $50 a wheel with clear over the top.
