My friend's DIY smoke tails for my E30

Been looking for a Startec smoked tails for a while but not feelin the $350 price tag right now.

My friend did a DIY on the tails of my E30 M3 and I think it turned out ok. This is not rattle can specials, but professionaly done by his shop formula. He has done this before with his other car.

Watcha guys think? I can buff it a bit more and bring it to a more lighter shade, but I think it looks ok as it stands right now. I paid him $50 bones for the set. And no it will not fade easily because it includes coats of clear as well.

Always the optimist. Looks good to me! I run MHW's with no third brakelight and I haven't had any problems...

Thats right I remember now...I haven't seen pictures of your car in a while :-P

Take some pictures at night with a tripod and see how bright they get. You could, like you said, lighten them if you get too paranoid...

Too dark, but it looks much better than most people's poor/cheap attempts.

You probably won't be able to if they have clear coats on them.

They always seem to look darker in the garage...

Those are pretty dark, I like the way the shop I lease space from smokes. The e30 tails are lighter outside.

nice, i do think a little lighter would make it a perfect tone.
