Got the plastic weld sanded and shaped today, went really well. It sands really nicely, and feathers really well, too. Got the shaping just about perfect, I had to back and at a little bit more to the bottom edge of the top channel where the trim sits, it's drying right now (not shown).

I buy the rubber gloves too J and I agree with you. I love working on cars but I can't stand having my hands all greasy thus making me looking like a grease monkey.

What kind of bumber do you have on your car? What upgrades are you doing to your engine while you have the head off?

It was fine to work with. A little messy, but rubber gloves are the bomb. It was the 2 part stuff, and it was a lot like silicone, but thicker. Pretty easy to spread around, and it was nice because it wasn't runny at all. It stayed exactly where I wanted it to.

That came out well. Because you didn't have a massive area to patch up it looks great. How was handling the filler? I recall posting how I had to use a good amount of tiger hair to do mine.

Got started repairing the damaged corner of the bumper tonight. I used a razor blade to trim out all of the mangled plastic, then sanded it smooth. Once I got the shape all close to normal, I roughed it up with 120 grit and filled the damaged area with plastic weld. Turned out really good, I'm going to sand it tomorrow and get it shaped.

Just dropped the fender off at a body shop, they're going to tackle the rest of the smoothing, prime and paint it for me for $200.

The block is there, that's it. The whole top end is removed for maintenance and upgrades.

I like the flat olive too Mr. Anderson. I think you should go with it.
