    Rear Bumper Question

My rear bumper has a small hole on the middle insert... I have a replacement off a parts car took the bumper off and it seems a lot harder to get to then I thought. Toyed around with it for a bit and was stumped.
Does anyone know if it is an actual clip-on part?
If so, how do I go about removing the plastic insert inside the bumper?

Are you talking about the bumper trim? The black strip that goes around the entire bumper? It has clips that snap into the bumper skin to hold it in place. A thin putty knife works good for getting them loose. Just slip it in between the trim and the skin and pry up slightly. Be careful not to break anything.

if you take the bumper off ,which is pretty easy (only four bolts), those clips will pop right out when squeezed with a pair of plyers from the back side(inside of the bumper). this way you can avoid breaking the trim or the clips. Then put the new trim on before you reinstall the bumper.

That is the better way if you are removing the bumper skin.
