There is paint just for smoking your lights. If you paint with normal spray paint you won't be able to see light of it. DER. Let me guess if you wanted to have blue headlights would you paint your bulbs blue.

Sorry I just had to continue the burn

Some people use VHT Nightshades and then a coat of clear. I have also heard that one can add some black/schwarz paint (automotive- 2 stage paint) to some clear and spray that. Trail and error to get it just right.

it depends how dark you go. i used acrylic enamel which i bought at a hobby/craft store its called testers or testors? anyway you can make them dark or lighten them up with some wet sanding etc. i just sprayed mine with the lights on so it didnt get on too thick.

I used testors too and had a bodyshop clear them. If you dont get some high grade clear they are gonna peel and fade, since model paint isnt made for the elements.

VHT all the way, I use it on all my cars for the side markers. Just to give them a tid less noticeable color.
