Questions about painting trim on side panels and plastic bumpers

So my 88 325 is going in to the shop to be re-worked and a full paint job. My friend owns a large reputable body shop and he is doing all the work.. This job would typically cost arround $6k, hes going to do it for $1500. My My question is --- the trim.

I am going to color match all of the trim on the car with the exception of the trim arround the windows etc.

I am going to have him spray the side black trim and the black trim on the plastic bumpers--in the middle front and back bumpers. He says with an adhesion additivie--flex agent it would be fine. So i guess I will be the first here to have it done!.

Primer+ base coat and + 3 coats of clear...... Lachsilber here I come..
