Trunk lid trim panel question

I have an 04/85 325e, and wonder if there is a trim panel for the trunk lid that will work on it. I found the part in realoem for after 09/86, but have no idea what is different about the trunk lids.

Trunk lids are the same for all e30s except for the M3, so it should work fine.

That's good to hear! A guy has one but said it was "post-facelift so wouldn't fit his '84." ??

Not sure if that is a fit - you better have the big tool holder, look at the size of that hole.

I have added the large tool kit, and a second light. I just wondered if there was a change to the shape of the trunk or manner in which this panel attached to differentiate its use from the earlier/pre- 09/1986 cars.
