You mean you painted the kidneys the same color as the rest of the car? Hmm, I'd have to say it wouldn't look real good to me...but, everyone has their own opinions.

I'd say leave the rest black... ;) But, again, that's me.

use sem satin black tirm paint, turns out the absolute best, you won't get flat or glossy to match like sem satin black does.

Oh, he's talkin glossy black paint?

if that's the case, yes, just stick with solid flat black. It looks the best that way. ;)

its looks exactly like the shadowlined black on any of the bmws, its a perfect match, not glossy but not flat.

Negative. If the car's black, paint it glossy, i did, then i wetsanded and buffed it, and it looks so much better, then again, my car is black, and this spring, my trim will be gloss black as well.

I saw the gloss trim on the black Grand Prix's, so i decided to do gloss. i have it flat already.

I see no one mentioned using self-etching primer and before that, clean the stuff with metal prep. 1st, scour it with scotchbrite pads, 2 metal prep it, 3 use sand-free metal prep and then self etch it and spray the final coat your color of choice.
All the pain in the ass prep will keep it from chipping easily

                      Yeah, what he said.
Mine is already chipping badly after like 4 months because I didn't prep well enough.

What are good Etching and Metal prep products?
Probably going to do this on my kidney and shadowline
                        all at once.
