db's to plastics? help!

    db's to plastics? help!

    this may be retarded, but i have looked on here and can't find the answer. i am in the middle of putting the plastics on the rear and i can't get the oe bumper struts out... the one near the muffler is unbolted at the two large bolts, but still wont pull out, and i can't even find the other nut to loosen the far right side... wtf am i doing wrong. help!

    There are three nuts and bolts holding the bumper shock on.

        on the frame rail, one is over the muffler over the heat shield.

          Its further down the frame rail. It should be on the drivers side.

            This. It confused me at first but each shock is held in by 3 bolts. The last ones are in the side of the frame rails.

                both bolts are on the same side, placement isn't symmetric.

                  From under the car looking up, it should be on the right side of the rail. Unless its different on a cabby:???:

                      so what did you do?
                      here are some pics, and a couple of my project...just got the seats redone, next is all body work and cosmetics.

                          x2...I actually hooked the bumper to a backhoe and dragged my car halfway across the parking lot, then I found the third bolt. Never admitted that to anyone till now...

                            Lol a few weeks ago i was removing the DB from my new sedan and it had me puzzled for a while too. Had to give it a few whacks with my banhammer before i remembered. :nice:

                              i found both of the frame rail bolts, i still haven't had any luck locating the right bolt on the right side. where the bolt goes in, there is a shroud or something, but it is welded on there....if you look at pic 4, you'll see what i am talking about.
