    86 bumper tuck

I heard that all a bumper tuck takes is just taking it off with the hydrolic lifter things then drilling a hole through them and sealing it.

I got that much down. But i heard on early models you have to shave the bumper down some on the sides?

    any truth to that?????????

For the back, I went in the trunk and took off the nuts that hold the black trim over the bumper, then just drill through, kick in the bumper, put the cover back on...good to go! Front...haven't done yet...

take off what hydraulic lifter thing. its not VW engines were taking apart, your drilling a hole and driving into a tree. common sense.

the hydraulic SHOCK is what your drilling. theyre put there so that in the event of small bumps and impacts the bang is absorbed. and the bumper presses safely back into place.
so find those, 2 for each bumper, and drill holes in them to release the fluid. just make sure you watch the drill realllll close jonny get your face right up in there to make sure shes going in straight.... oh and dont forget your safety goggles as always :)
