    mtech kit question

ok, I know it is on here somewhere, but I am not smart enough to find it with a search, so can someone point me to the answer?

What years did the Mtech II kits come on? I have a 91 coupe that I would like to try to find a kit for. I know they are more popular in europe, which isn't an issue for me. I just need to know if there is a specific model they came on, or if it was a option that could be added to any E30.

Please help me further my education on the Mtech kits!

    thanks

it was a specific model with the "mtechnic package / appeareance package" usually on later 90's verts in the us.

I don't think the MT2 coupe ever came to the US, legally.

You want to find a euro coupe kit. Verts are a special;) Actually the front and rear valance will work and maybe the pods (not sure) but the doors and front fenders are different on a vert.

          Cheers,

Pods from a vert won't work on a coupe. Everything else should.

That is good to know. I thought that because the doors and fenders are specific to the vert that the mtech side panels would be also.

                Yes, the panels are different.

I thought the pods worked, but the sideskirts do not.

ETK/Realoem says the front fender, and door pod is the same, but the back quarter panel pod is different, along with the bottom skirt.

Meanwhile, on E30zone, apparently it is common to fit entire Coupe kits on the Cabby. That doesn't make sense either. :(

The m-tech II door pods are interchangable between verts and coupes. I don't know why the rear quarter pod is a different part number because I just test fitted a coupe rear quarter pod onto my vert 2 minutes ago and it's a perfect fit.

The side skirts are different, as everyone knows, but if you're ambitious you can make the skirts work from one to the other.

Sorry meant skirts not pods. My mistake.
