what does your driveway having an incline have to di with getting a splitter? you dont like scratching the bottom of your spoiler? with the splitter it will rip your spoiler off -
the splitter sticks out 1-2 inches in front of the lower spoiler and about 1/4-1/8 lower down.... the splitter will hit the driveway much earlier, and on many more things if you have oneComment

i just wanted to know if anyone makes one. not for what they are designed for. if that were true we all have race wings, if anyone makes them please contact me, if no ill make one of my own. my car isnt a race car i wanted to protect the expensive paint job.Comment

e30evolution is correct. If you fasten your splitter to your spoiler correctly it won't protect it, it will just damage it. If the splitter gets caught on the ground it will do a number on your spoiler. I can see why you'd want to protect the paint on your spoiler, but a splitter isn't what you're looking for.
Is only the bottom of the spoiler getting scraped on your driveway? Or does it scrape a little of the front too?Originally posted by Grueliusand i do not know what bugg brakes are.Comment

well my kit is diffrent then most bmw spoliers its one piece from bumper to spolier. well i can understant it will grab on objects. i just want it to give me a few sec to react to some incline or a driveway whatever. what if it just sticks out like a half Inich or something??Comment

Well I guess you could adjust it so that it didn't really stick out at the front. It seems like it would be prone to catching on your driveway since it would be lower. In any case, I would just fabricate something yourself, splitters aren't cheap.Originally posted by Grueliusand i do not know what bugg brakes are.Comment

Actually M3 Ryan sells some awesome looking splitters at a very reasonable price. Give him a PM, it might be what you are looking for.Comment

if it is a 1 piece spoiler/valance, then if you hit is, if it is a poly valance that doesnt have plastic prep prime the paint will web out like a spider web when hit.... if fiberglass, the valance will shatter, or crack.... if sheetmetal, it will bend..... i would just go and get some stone guard and a heat gun if all you want to do is protect the paint, cover the lower inch and bottome of the spoiler with it, and its all good....
didnt want to steer you away from the splitter... they look sick, but they arent for protection, they are for directing air flow, and to make your car look more agressive... most likley you will end up paying about $100-$150 for a splitter, if you look, you will find!Comment
