I am going to do this soon. However I am going to bond the two together so that there is no seam in between the i lip and the is lip.

what'd you guys do to attach them together? Did you drill holes in the bottom of the 'i' lip and use factory mounting clips? Or did you just bolt the two together? Is it safe if it hits a bump or something? Interesting, it looks nice

yeah i was thinking of bonding the two together but had trouble lining it up so they are flat. I used the factory clips and just drilled the holes on the bottom of the i lip. that way I could take it off someday and still put the is lip on.

The factory clips held up pretty good so far. I scraped it pretty bad and ripped the one of the mounts off the side but I think its still repairable, haven't taken it off to look yet.

btw, i have about 2 1/2 inches clearance.

The reason I didnt bondo mine together is because bondo will crack if you hit something solid. Or even if you are taking it off the car, and you bend it too much. If there were some other type of flexible agent that would look good when painted, I might try that, but havent found anything yet.
