all mechanical components and engine bay area. stay away from electrical connectors and wiring as much as possible. if you have a cone filter don't get near that either. You can rap plastic bag over certain areas if there is lots of exposure to moisture. What I have done in the past and still do and not to spray directly onto these areas. there is some common sense here. I have never had a problem with my car starting. remember you're pushing 1500-2000psl through a wand. also stay back a few feet while spraying as you could easily remove paint if too close or brake wiring clips connector etc. the more dirtier the area the closer and more direct the spray should be. Get yourself a can of engine degreaser for 5 bucks. Spray wait 10-15 min and then clean off with spray.
Get a can of scrubbing bubbles bathroom cleaner, start car for 5 mins, cut off. Spray, and agitate dirty areas and rinse off with indirect stream from garden hose.
