    Best way to remove pinstripe

So I have an 87 325es with original paint, the pinstripe is in rough shape so I want to remove it, whats the best/easiest way to get this accomplished?

Also I'm thinking on removing the 325es badge is that just glued on or will there be holes in the trunk? If there are holes then I guess it will be staying on. I figured the best way to remove it will be a hair dryer and fish line?

This is all on a new will project I bought that I'm cleaning up, thanks for all your help.

Is the pinstripe stick-on, or painted on?

Stick on, you can feel it on top of the paint. I could pick it off with my finger nail a little, I was checking to see how it was on there.

You don't even need that... I used my fingernails or the edge of a credit card to get an edge of it up, then just peeled, some came off in long strips, and some tore right after you got an edge up, which made it a huge pain in the ass. But in the end it is worth it.

I used a product called Acry-solv to remove the adhesive residue left behind. It's stronger than Goo Gone, and wont hurt the paint.

Hope that helps! It took me a good 2-3 hours to get it off, and probably another hour on each side getting the residue off.

Yeah, it goes on the end of a drill and it makes short work of it. Ive used several know tricks but for stick on stripes, this is your ticket.
