    Tucking DB's

I searched this and was suprised not to find a bunch of threads on this.

So I have my front bumper pulled off (repainting all the trim) and I have decided that I'm going to tuck my bumpers.

Now I know that I will have to drill holes in the shocks to let the fluid out.

The next part is my question... how to compress them. I have had a couple people say just find a flat wall or loading dock bumpers but is there a way to do it with them off the car since I already have it pulled apart?

Any tricks or pointers are great appreciated, thanks

I just pushed them down as I emptied the fluid. Didn't get them all the way, but once I had them bolted in the car with the e-brake on I was able to push and pull them until they moved in and our fairly freely. PS: I'm definitely not a big guy so anyone should be able to do this.

Drill, metal 3/8 bit and a clear welders mask or goggles.

Drill through both shocks and put a tire between your bumper and the wall and compress them(drive into the wall, super slow).

I took mine off, it was ANNOYING. So hard to get the bolts back on and tight with a wrench. Save time and bolt them back on.

That's why you uncompress them to put teh car back together.

Just drill it a bunch until it will go in and out. That's what I did. Also I put mine in a plastic bag and a bucket.
