Sorry, but that looks ridiculous! Just this bright ass piece of aluminum stuck at an akward angle on your car? It looks really bad. Maybe if it was a plastic or even metal piece that came body color...

Well, I didnt know you were keeping a tally, I would have given my opinion
And since I am bored at work, Ill do so now... If they were color matched for the car (doesnt look like it from the linked forum discussion) it would pretty good...

But the silver??? How does it look any better than the antena?

It wont work for the standard E30 antenna, unless you want to roll it up into a cylinder and cram it in there or something :?

Have a strip of aluminum cut like that, just larger so it would cover our antenna hole.
Pull your stock antenna out, drill holes for this new strip and test fit. Take it off, engrave whatever you want onto it, then polish/paint it whatever you want.
I would personally have it anodized as close to your body color as possible, with something cool engraved. That way you have a personalized car with a bling piece that doesn't stand out too much.

Hell yeah, that would be awesome. I would put an LED in to match the color of the ones in my washer jets and the valve stem caps.

Pull the grommet, attach a metal plate underneath the hole where the antenna was, bondo on top, prime and paint it.

                          Simple.

Well what about these cheap little things off ebay? Maybe they're worth getting?

Posted this in the other antenna thread, but it seems better here. Anyways write your thoughts and such and such.
